Pep Guardiola rule out a return to Barcelona

Manchester City boss Pep Guardiola has ruled out a return to Barcelona .

While the club's fans would welcome Guardiola back with open arms, the man himself admits he would not be able to live up to his own legacy because he couldn't recreate the unique circumstances that opened the door to their domination.

"As a coach (of Barcelona), it's over. I am not the same, nor do they even look at me in the same way," he said on Spain's TV3 .

"I was at a fantastic age in which I was taking on the world. We took it on with some incredible players, a young president (Joan Laporta), Txiki
(Begiristain)... it was a generation of brutal players and the best player in the world ( Lionel Messi ). The stars aligned."
