Man City had £90M Suarez plans before turning to Messi

Manchester City were willing to pay £90 million to bring Barcelona striker Luis Suarez back to England last summer.

El Mundo Deportivo says City were ready to make massive bids for Lionel Messi, Luis Suarez , Neymar and Sergio Busquets. City boss Pep Guardiola wanted to raid his former club for Luis Suarez and were ready to pay £90milllion for the striker.

City then went after Lionel Messi who was going through a trial for tax evasion. But Messi decided to stay and to remain with the Catalan giants.

Neymar was next on City's hitlist before Guardiola turned his attention to Sergio Busquets. Guardiola is a massive fan of the defensive midfielder but failed to convince him to leave Barca for the Premier League.
