Justin Bieber branded 'rude' after he blasts fans for TALKING

The pop star tried to get the excited crowd to stay silent as he took to the stage in Manchester.

Justin Bieber took a swipe at fans during the first of his three shows in Manchester on Thursday night, scolding them for talking. The Canadian singer didn't like that the crowd at the Manchester Arena was making a racket and interrupted him before the penultimate song of his performance.

Bieber had begun to explain why his global tour was called the Purpose tour - "because everyone in here has a purpose" - but realised that some fans weren't keen to listen.

His face twitching with annoyance, he told fans: “I just thought I could have a moment to say something. I can cut the b**s*** if you want. “I’m trying to engage but if you guys don’t want to I’ll play the music.”

Earlier in the night Bieber urged fans to be quiet while he sang two ballads, reports the Manchester Evening News.

He said gently: "Try and stay as quiet as possible. You can scream as much as you want afterwards but while I'm singing try and stay quiet."

Some fans leaped to his defence after the show, with one tweeting: "I'm so sorry, what Manchester did is just not messed up! We love you."

Another said: "Remember when Justin actually liked his job then Manchester ruined it?????"

But Hollyoaks star Nadine Mulkerrin tweeted: "We love your music but you are RUDE!!!!!!!!"

The incident in Manchester follows his concert in Birmingham on Tuesday night, when he stopped midway through his performance to slam “obnoxious fans”. He told fans to “stop screaming” and urged them to keep quiet during his songs.

Bieber told fans in Birmingham: “Guys, can you do me a favour? Can you guys just relax for like two seconds? I’m like two feet away from you, I can hear you.
