Antonio Martial ready to snub Arsenal, Barcelona

Martial is largely tipped as one for the future, with Gunners legend Thierry Henry claiming the youngster is a better player at 21 than he ever was.

However, Martial has managed just one Premier League start this season, despite scoring five goals and assisting five more in nine appearances across all competitions, leading to claims he is looking for a move away from Old Trafford.

As such, Arsenal and Spanish La Liga giants Barcelona are said to be keeping close tabs on the forward, with each thought to be considering January swoops.

However, word coming out of Manchester suggests Martial is more than happy with his situation under manager Jose Mourinho and is not looking to move away at any point in the near future.

Speaking of Martial last month, Mourinho said: “If you want just a word [to describe Martial], it’s ‘happiness’. He’s a happy guy, he’s working extremely well. He starts matches, he tries to do well.

“He goes from the bench, even if it is for 10 minutes like in the last match at home, he tries to enjoy and try to give something in these extra minutes. I am very pleased with his attitude overall and then it’s easier to play well.”
