Lionel Messi and some of his Barcelona team mates get to
grips with the blindfold… and guess who was the only Barca
star to score his penalty?

They're some of the best footballers in the world.
But even Lionel Messi looked surprised when he and the
rest of his star-studded Barcelona side took on the Spanish
National 5-a-side blind football team in a penalty shootout.

The Catalonia outfit were shown the slightly different tool of the trade - a ball that makes a noise when kicked - and were given blindfolds.
They then took part in a quick kickabout about where they
failed to control passes and were made to look like statues
by the opposition players.
And then it was time for the real drama - the dreaded
penalty shootout.
After booting up, the two sides faced off from the spot and
Barcelona saw all their penalties either saved or go wide.
Until Messi stepped up. The little genius took the
penultimate penalty and was required to score to give his
side any chance of winning.more photos below

And like the superstar he is, he quickly gets to grips with
wearing the blindfold and puts his penalty away.
A striker for Spain's Paralympic side then steps up to take
the last penalty and he levelled up.
