Top ten high profile players that will not be at the World Cup in Russia


As the 2018 FIFA World Cup in Russia fast approaching, we want to take a look at the high profile players that will be missing out in Russia.

 1. Buffon (Italy)
The Juventus goalkeeper will be missing this year mundia for the first time in his career as the Azzuri failed to qualify for the final.

 2. Zlatan Ibrahimovic (Sweden)
 The legendary forward will not be at the World Cup despite his contribution to his country qualification.


3. Lacazette (France)
 The Arsenal striker was left out of the 23-man squad, But was only included in the reserves.

 4. Mario Gotze (Germany)
 The former Bayern Munich player was a world Cup winner with the German machine in 2014 in Brazil.

 5. Martial (France)
 Manchester United winger was left out of the 23-man squad just like Lacazette.

 6. Jack Wilshire (England)
 The Arsenal midfielder was dropped from the 23-man squad.

 7. Dani Alves (Brazil)
The PSG defender will be missing out due to serious injury.

 8. Joe Hart (England)
The experience goalkeeper was left out of the final 23-man squad.

 9. Nani (Portugal)
The Portuguese winger was dropped from the final squad.

 10. Dimitri Payet (France)
The Marseille midfielder missed out due to the injury he sustained in the Europa League final match against Atletico Madrid.
