Anthony Joshua has agreed terms to face Vladimir Klitschko

Promoter Eddie Hearn wants to confirm how many belts will be contested before officially announcing the fight this week for December 10 or 17 at Manchester Arena.

Anthony Joshua has agreed terms for his world heavyweight title showdown with Wladimir Klitschko.

But promoter Eddie Hearn wants to confirm how many belts will be contested before officially announcing the fight this week for December 10 or 17 at Manchester Arena.

Joshua will defend his IBF crown, while the IBO have sanctioned the fight, and Hearn is negotiating with the WBA and WBO to try to persuade them to put their belts on the line.

“Basically, the deal is done with us and Klitschko,” said Hearn. “I would say the terms are agreed, but there are things that have to fall into place for it to be signed.

“We are just making sure when we make our announcement, we announce what belts are on the line rather than announcing two and then adding a couple.”
