English Premier League Top 4 Race: Which of These Teams Will Drop Out?


With the 2019/2020 English premier league season coming to an end this Sunday July 26. The race for the top 4 team that represent England in Europe is yet to be completed with Chelsea football club, Manchester United and Leicester City still battling to finish in the top 4.

English premier league champion Liverpool and runner up Manchester City are the only teams that has already secured their place in the top 4 and also to play in the group stage of the Uefa champions league next season.

Before the Corona virus break, Leicester city looked like a team that is almost certain of a place in the top 4, but things turned around after the resumption of the league. Both Manchester united and Chelsea up their games to push Leicester city out of the top 3.

This Sunday will decide the two clubs that will join Liverpool and Manchester city in the top 4. Chelsea will sit at home to welcome Wolverhampton wanderer while Leicester city will be at the kings power stadium to welcome Manchester united.

Currently both Chelsea and Manchester united are tied on same points (63) while Leicester city are on 62 points. Chelsea will be facing a Wolverhampton team that is also fighting for Europa league spot while Manchester united will be doing battle with Leicester city.

In the reverse fixtures Chelsea defeated wolves 5-2 away while Manchester United defeated Leicester City 1 nill at Old Trafford.
