Breaking!! Mikel Obi Scores His Second League Goal In English Football

Nigeria Super Eagles Captain John Obi Mikel has just scored his second league goal in English football after 267th appearances.

Mikel's goal came in the 38th minute after he smashed the ball into the net from a Paddy McNair's knock down as Middlesbrough defeated Semi Ajayi's relegated Rotherham United 2-1 at the New York stadium on Sunday, May 5.

The former Chelsea midfielder may likely shift his attention to Super Eagles of Nigeria as they prepare for African Cup Of Nation in Egypt next month.

Mikel who last played for the Super Eagles in June last year against Argentina at the world Cup  joined Boro on a free transfer after his contract with Chinese Super League side Tinajin TEDA expired last year.
