With the addition of Granit Xhaka, Shkodran Mustafi and Lucas Perez Arsenal looks like one of the most completed team in the premiere league this season and also one of the title contender.
Last season Arsenal came close to winning the tittle but their lack of a quality goal poacher and their over reliance on inconsistent Olivier Giroud cost them the tittle.
Another factor that affected Arsenal tittle challenge again was their defence with only Lauren Kolcieny as their standout center back, the ageing Mertasacker and injury prone Gabriel were not up to the task.
This season Arsenal looks more stronger in all department with the additions of Mustafi and Holding in the defence, Granith Xhaka in the midfield and Lucas Perez in the attack, definitely Arsenal are good to go this season.
Here is the Arsenal strongest eleven with their current squad:
Pete Czech:
After keeping a clean sheet to win the Community Shield on his debut, Petr won a fourth Premier League Golden Glove award with 16 shutouts last season, and particularly impressed with a crucial saves in games against Liverpool, Leicester City and Manchester United.
Before joining Arsenal, Petr made nearly 500 appearances for Chelsea, winning four Premier League titles, four FA Cups, three League Cups, the Europa League and the Champions League – the latter in 2012 after saving two penalties in the shoot-out. He also set a record for most minutes without conceding a Premier League goal (1,025) in 2004/05. in the color of Chelsea.
Hector Bellerin :
The Barcelona-born defender signed a new long-term deal in July 2015 and went on to firmly established himself as Arsenal’s first-choice right back, making 44 appearances in all competitions and creating nine goals - third only to Mesut Ozil and Alexis.
Nacho Monreal:
Has been at Arsenal for more than three years now. Many questioned the legitimacy of the Spaniard’s contributions at the beginning of his Gunners career, as the former Malaga man struggled to adapt to the Premier League away from the country he’d played in his whole life. Kieran Gibbs being the undisputed first-choice left back didn't help either.
But fast-forward to now and the tables have well and truly turned, for Monreal is an absolutely crucial component of Arsène Wenger’s Arsenal team.
Laurent Koscielny:
The French international is one of the best and most consistent defender in the premiere league.
Shkodran Mustafi:
A world cup winner with Germany in 2014 and also one of the best defender in the laliga last season.
Granit xhaka:
A natural leader, the midfielder arrived from Borussia Monchengladbach, who he captained to fourth place and back-to-back qualification for the Champions League group stages.
Santiago Carzola:
The playmaker started his Arsenal career usually operating behind the striker - either in the No 10 position or on the flanks - but now generally plays in a more withdrawn position, controlling the play from deep.
Mesut Ozil:
One of the most gifted players in European football, Mesut is the creator in chief in the Arsenal side.
After becoming the club’s record signing on transfer deadline day in 2013, the German playmaker contributed 22 assists in his first two seasons, usually operating just behind the front men in the ‘number 10, he is also a world cup winner.
Alexis Sanchez:
The diminitive Chile international followed up his highly impressive debut season with the Gunners by continuing to terrorise defences, both in the Premier League and on the continent.
Theo Walcott:
Arsenal’s longest-serving player featured regularly last season, making 42 appearances for the first team to take his overall total to just under 350 in total.
Able to play anywhere across the front, Theo started 2015/16 in the centre-forward position, linking well with Mesut Ozil and Alexis. He played a key role in convincing victories away to eventual champions Leicester City and at home to Manchester United, where he provided two assists.
Lucas Perez:
plied his trade in La Liga with Deportivo La Coruna.
Regardless, the forward enjoyed a prolific season in a league dominated by Barcelona, Real Madrid, and Atletico Madrid. He contributed to 25 goals last term in 36 appearances, scoring 17 and assisting eight.
