Revealed : Salah rejected Real Madrid offer to sign new Liverpool contract

Liverpool striker Mohamed Salah rejected an offer from Real Madrid this summer.

El Pais says the Egypt international was wanted by Los Blancos to fill the void left by Cristiano Ronaldo after his move to Juventus .

But Salah ended any hopes of Real Madrid securing his signature by putting pen to paper on a new contract at Liverpool .

The 26-year-old's representatives were contacted by the Champions League holders over a move.

But by signing a new contract at Anfield he made his decision very clear.

Salah was sensational for Liverpool last season, scoring 44 goals and providing 16 assists in all competitions.
