Granit Xhaka extends Arsenal stay

Switzerland international midfielder Granith Xhaka has signed a new long-term contract with Arsenal.

Arsenal announced this on their official website.

Head coach Unai Emery said: “I’m delighted that Granit has extended his contract with us. He’s an important member of the squad and is still young so will be able to develop even more. I hope he has a successful World Cup with Switzerland and comes back fit and ready for the new season."

The former Borrusian Mochenglabach defensive midfielder is currently in Russia with the Switzerland national team as they set to face Brazil on Sunday in Rostov.
