Joe Hart gutted over England world Cup snub

Out of favour Manchester City goalkeeper, Joe Hart, has admitted that he is ‘gutted’ after being dropped by England boss Gareth Southgate from his 23- man squad for the 2018 FIFA World Cup.

Southgate this week overlooked the experience Hart and in his place listed Nick Pope as his third-choice goalkeeper due to his excellent form with Burnley this season.

Following the arrival of Pep Guardiola two seasons ago, Hart was sent out on loan to Serie A side Torino and West Ham United.

Also dropped from the squad are Jack Wilshere of Arsenal and Liverpool’s Adam Lallana.

Reacting to his omission, Hart who was in goal for England at the 2014 World Cup in Brazil wrote on his Instagram page on Friday: “Not going to lie, I’m gutted.

After 2 years of trying to make the most of a really tough situation, this is hard to take.
