Champions League : Liverpool's 2017/18 team are the top scorers in Champions League history

Real Madrid will meet Liverpool in the Champions League final in Kiev on May 26, and the current Liverpool team are the top scorers in Champions League history.

Sadio Mane, Mohamed Salah and Roberto Firmino have led the Merseyside club from the front in the tournament this season.

The trio have scored 29 goals between them which actually beat the previous record of 28 set by Cristiano Ronaldo, Karim Benzema and Gareth Bale in 2013/14.

Though the Egyptian forward has taken all the headlines this term, he's level with Firmino for goals in the Champions League (10) whilst Mane has scored nine.

As a team, the Reds have been a goal-scoring machine this term, netting 46 goals in a grand total of 14 matches in the Champions League.

This does take into account their two qualifying matches against Hoffenheim.
It's a tally that has also beaten Barcelona's record of 45 goals in 16 matches which was set back in the 1999/2000 season.

There are no concerns about Liverpool in attack, and with their two goals scored at the Stadio Olimpico on Wednesday, the club have scored 20 goals away from home in the tournament this season, a haul which ties Los Blancos' record set in 2013/14.
