Manchester United star Wayne Rooney is a confirmed target for the Chinese Super League.
Rooney has been left on the bench by Jose Mourinho in United's last two Premier League games as he enters the twilight years of his career.
" Wayne Rooney is huge star in China," Chinese FA marketing director Li Jiuquan told the Daily Mail.
"Even my young son knows all about Rooney and I have taken a picture of his shirt.
"If Rooney played in the Chinese Super League it would attract huge attention, not only inside China but on television worldwide
, and give the CSL huge exposure globally. Maybe only Messi and Ronaldo are more famous."
